These guys are on point. Had issues with transmission and waited for a week for another shop to replace transmission. Called AAMCO and they picked the car up and replaced transmission same day. Furthermore about a week later I had a non-related issue with the oil gasket and engine coolant hose. I called them and they fixed it the same day. These guys are total professionals and move quickly and efficiently. Theres no “maybes” or “we’ll try to get to it in a couple days.” Also they answer the phone which is greatly appreciated. Big shout out to Larry and Tim, absolutely great service. Thank you for making my car feel new again.
Had problems reversing and said I needed a transmission, didn’t have enough but said I could pay the rest next week or so and said I could put down a portion. Really Nice people, would 100% recommend.

I just took my van to aamco for the first time last week for a transmission repair. Larry was by far the nicest person I’ve ever come across when dealing with a car repair. He was very thorough and honest. He went above and beyond for me and my family in our time of need, even doing things for us that he didn’t have to do. It was the fastest service I ever received especially since I had to replace the whole transmission. I won’t be going to any other shop other than aamco in Boardman. I’ll never forget my experience coming here. If you have any issues Larry is your go to guy.
I went to AAMCO for a whining in my transmission, called the local AAMCO to get this problem resolved. When telling him the situation with the transmission he identified the problem right away. So after getting a rough estimate over the phone I took the car in and got it fixed… fast forward to today the whining of my transmission is gone, but I have a new whistle that I hear Constantly! So now I’m going to have to get this looked at as well to get yet another problem resolved. But other than that my car is running great!
Update: diagnosed the problem very quickly, Tim helped me multiple times. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Would recommend you bring your vehicle here!
My truck was having mechanical issues so I googled a transmission repair shop near me and chose this place because of its good reviews. Larry was very friendly and professional and informed me of the problem, cost and time frame needed for the repairs upfront. He really cares about his customers and went above and beyond to make sure that I received the best service possible for my truck. He even paid for my rental for the day! It was great to deal with an honest and reliable shop. I would definitely recommend his shop to my family and friends or anyone needing auto repair.
